Do you normally have a waiting period between reading a book and reviewing the title?
I do, I have to, or my reviews end up being a mash of uncollected thoughts. (As demonstrated above.) I at least need a couple of hours! What about you?
Now, seriously, go read The False Prince!
lol, I've had some book reviews like that too! I don't often wait too long before I write my review, usually a couple hours or a day. No longer than that otherwise I tend to forget what I really want to say! There have been times though when I post a review about a book I didn't really like, and then the more I think about it, the more I realize it, it might have been a little better than I thought. Or the opposite happens sometimes :)
ReplyDeletelol, the same happens to me. I always can judge a book better after a few days, cause, as you said, I either realize I liked it/disliked it more than I though!
DeleteThanks for your feedback!
I wish that I could wait a while before I write my reviews, but after I finish a book, I CANNOT read another book until I write the review for the previous one...It's a curse LOL

A curse? Well, I bet it helps you keep up on your reviews! Good job!
Delete(Me: I should be writing a review... Oh, look! Shiny new book staring at me from the shelf! WANT!)
Thanks for commenting Christy!
I'm the opposite, I need to write it right away after finishing a book. If I don't write it straight away, I won't get it right. Sometimes it does end up being way too emotional, which is why I usually actually post the review I write weeks later. My reviews would probably be crap if I didn't sleep on them for a while and then edit them. :p

Ooh, we're opposites! Awesome :) If I write it right away, the words come out either a) all wrong OR b) too excited, emotion-y, and with a lot of All-Caps!
DeleteAlthough, I do edit a lot to. Otherwise, um, my grammar, spelling, form, and punctuation would be all over the place. And what I mean by that is that they would be a Language Arts teacher's nightmare. I type too fast, with my thoughts ahead of my hands!
Thanks Mari! :D
