About Me

Hi! I'm Emily Anne, a 23-year-old avid book lover who has run Reader Rising since 2013. (That's over 10 years ago. It's so crazy how time flies.) 

I'm also a Master's student in Edinburgh studying English Literature. Specifically, in my studies, I specialise in Romantic and Victorian literature. However, I still love to read contemporary novels for fun. This blog is for recording my thoughts on my recent reads and connecting with fellow book-lovers. 

When I'm not reading or studying, I love watching theatre, attending ballet classes, creating playlists on Spotify, trying new food, and travelling to new places.

    Wow, Emily, this site is absolutely amazing! I'm so glad that you have taken your love of reading to a whole new level! I can't wait to see what books you dive into next! Also, I think the name is VERY clever, probably one of my favorite blog titles yet! Well done!

    If that book ever gets published, I would definitely read it. It sounds intriguing, possibly funny and witty, and most of all deadly. Sounds great!
